The situation
Universal costs €2,000 a month and is not billed by the hour. So what do you buy, concretely? Answer: the continuity of a system (Valhalla scans, proposes, measures) and 4 focused 10-hour sessions every month, in which Florentin delivers. Hours are the transparent capacity mechanism, not the product.
Anatomy of a session
A session is a 10-hour block, with:
- one objective — written on the session page under "Goal";
- a clear scope — the "What we're doing" list;
- deliverables — ticked as they are done;
- validation — the "What we checked" checklist, then your confirmation;
- measurement — 14 days after delivery.
The stages are four: Planning → Working → Testing → Delivered. You see them in the stepper on Home and on the session page; hours appear quietly (for example "6 / 10 hours"), never as a timesheet.
The rhythm: one a week, one at a time
Four sessions a month means, in practice, one a week, on the same day and hour, set with Florentin. Valhalla proposes the dates automatically, in queue order, and you confirm them.
One active session at a time — the rule is enforced by the system. That is where quality comes from: one objective, no context switching, a clear delivery at the end. If an emergency comes in, the session is paused and resumes after; emergencies do not consume one of the four.
When the work does not fit: "part 2"
Ten hours are ten hours. If a piece of work turns out bigger than estimated, it is not silently stretched and nothing is "borrowed" from the next session without your knowledge. It is split honestly: the session is delivered with what was done (marked exactly in the deliverables), and the remainder becomes the next session — the log reads "Split — the remainder becomes the next session". You see "part 2" in the queue, with its date.
That is why effort is estimated up front, in words: "part of a session", "one session", "two sessions", "a project · 4+ sessions". Small pieces of work are bundled: two or three fixes in the same area fit in a single session, and its page shows "Also includes: …".
Rollover: one session, one month
If not all sessions were used in a month (say you were on holiday and confirmed no dates), at most one session rolls over to the next month. That month has 5 slots instead of 4. It does not accumulate further: a session unused in one month does not reach two months later.
"Your month" in the portal
On Home and in Sessions, the This month widget shows the month as four (or five) slots: Session 1–4, each with its state — Done, In progress, Scheduled, Date proposed or Not planned yet ("approve something and Valhalla proposes a date"). Under them, the hours as quiet segments and the ribbon Last week → This week → Next week. Emergency sessions appear separately, marked "Emergency", without taking a slot.
What to remember
- 4 sessions × 10 hours = 40 hours of capacity a month; no hourly billing.
- A session = one objective, a scope, deliverables, validation, measurement; one active at a time, one a week.
- What does not fit is split honestly into "part 2"; small pieces are bundled into one session.
- Rollover: at most one unused session carries to the next month.

Can I buy more sessions in a month?
Universal has one lane: 4 sessions, one active. If you constantly need more, talk to Florentin — but usually the problem is order, not volume, and the queue solves it.
What if Florentin finishes in 7 hours?
The session is delivered when the objective is met and validated; remaining hours go to testing, documentation or a small deliverable in the same area. Time is not "filled".
