The situation

It is Tuesday, 11:40. The week's session is In progress — a new services page. And you get a call: nobody can complete an order on the site. What do you do? You do not wait for the next session. You press the red button.

What an emergency is (and is not)

Universal defines exactly five kinds of emergency — they are the only ones that interrupt the plan:

  1. Site down — homepage or the whole site down, server errors, DNS.
  2. Checkout / booking failing — the cart, the payment, the booking form does not work.
  3. Tracking broken — conversions vanished suddenly; campaigns optimise into the void.
  4. Ads account issue — account suspended, payments declined, ads disapproved en masse.
  5. Security incident — unauthorised access, malware, defacement, data leak.

Everything else — "I want to change something by tomorrow", "the button colour", "a wrong text" — is a request. It enters the plan through the assistant, not through the red door.

How to report

  1. Account › Something broken? → Report an emergency. (Or the installed app's "Something is broken" shortcut.)
  2. Pick the kind from the list.
  3. Write the details: what you see, since when, a link.
  4. Report emergency.

What happens, in order

Everything below is automatic, the second you press:

  • The current session is suspended. Its status becomes "Paused · an emergency came first"; the log reads "Paused for an emergency". Hours worked stay saved.
  • An emergency session starts immediately. It is called "Emergency · [what you wrote]", its objective is resolving the chosen kind, and it is active from the first second. You are redirected to its page.
  • Florentin is notified at once — an urgent email, with your details and the link.
  • Capacity does not drop. In the month's books, the emergency session costs zero slots. The four stay yours.
  • Your request appears in Improve › Your requests as "emergency · In progress".

How work resumes

When the emergency is resolved, Florentin delivers the emergency session (with what was done and what was checked) and resumes the suspended session where it stopped — same hours, same scope, same log. On Home you see "Right now" with the original session again.

If the emergency revealed a bigger problem (for example tracking had been broken for three months), Florentin writes a separate recommendation, with evidence, which you approve like any other.

What stays in the log

  • on the suspended session: the moment of the pause and of the resume;
  • on the emergency session: every step, what was checked, the result;
  • in Your requests: the request, the kind, the status;
  • in the month's recap: the number of emergencies resolved, separate from the four sessions.

What to remember

  • Exactly five emergency kinds: site down, checkout/booking failing, tracking broken, ads account issue, security incident.
  • On press: the current session goes to Paused, an emergency session starts at once, Florentin gets an urgent email.
  • Emergencies cost zero of the four session slots; the suspended session resumes where it stopped.
  • Everything stays in the log and in the month's recap ("emergencies resolved").

Frequently asked

How fast does Florentin respond?

He is notified the same second, by email marked urgent, and the emergency session is already active. The exact time depends on the moment; the emergency session log shows you every step once it begins.

The site went down at night. Do I have to press?

Press if you see it — it takes ten seconds. But Valhalla's daily scan detects an unreachable site and creates a critical draft on its own, and Florentin is notified.
