The situation
You open the portal on Monday morning. At the top, under "Needs you", it says Approve · Conversion tracking is broken on mobile. One button. But before you press it, you want to know what you are actually approving.
A recommendation is a piece of work Valhalla found and Florentin checked. Nothing reaches you without passing through him. Approving does not start the work on the spot — it puts it into your plan, in its place.
What the card shows
Every card has the same structure, so you can read it in five seconds:
- The priority chip — one word: Critical, High, Medium, Low or Opportunity. Hover it and you see the sentence that explains why (impact, urgency, how sure we are, how much effort).
- The title — what changes, in business language.
- Why — the problem, with numbers from your data.
- The priority sentence — for example: "High impact, urgent, costs you while it waits — we are 92% sure · low effort." The percentage is Valhalla's confidence in the finding.
- Four facts: Impact (High / Medium / Low), Effort (part of a session / one session / two sessions / a project · 4+ sessions), Area (Growth, Visibility, Experience, AI, Automation, Data, Product) and Session (where it would land).
Click the title and the recommendation page opens. There you also find What we will do (the concrete plan), Expected result, the Evidence section (each metric, its value, the source and the date) and Discussion, where you can write to Florentin directly.
The three buttons
- Approve — you want it. It enters the plan.
- Ask Valhalla — opens the assistant already set on this recommendation. Ask "why is it a priority" or "what is the risk" and you get an answer from the evidence, not from generalities.
- Not now — you park it. It is not a refusal; the recommendation moves to the "Not now" tab in Improve, from where you can bring it back any time with "Bring back".
What happens after "Approve"
No page reload, in this order:
- The recommendation becomes Approved. The card leaves "Needs you".
- Valhalla computes its place in the queue. Critical items always go to the front; the rest are ordered by score, then by age.
- A session is created for it — or, if it is a small piece of work (effort "part of a session") and an approved session in the same area already exists, it is included there. The session page then shows "Also includes: …".
- Valhalla proposes a date: the next free weekly slot, in queue order. You see a toast like "Session 2 · Valhalla proposes Tue 7 Oct." If a new item jumped ahead of another, the toast tells you that too: "Valhalla moved "X" to … to fit this first."
- You confirm the date or ask for "Another time". Until you confirm, the status reads "Approved · date proposed".
Where you see it next
- Home › Needs you — "Confirm the date", if you have not already.
- Improve › Approved — the numbered "Next up" list, with the session and the proposed date on each item.
- Sessions › Upcoming — after confirmation it shows as "Scheduled".
- Home › This month — the four slots of the month, yours marked "Date proposed" or "Scheduled".
What to remember
- A card = what, why, impact, effort, area, session, plus a priority sentence with confidence in percent.
- "Approve" puts the work in the queue at its computed place; nothing starts on the spot.
- "Not now" parks, it does not refuse — bring it back with "Bring back".
- After approval Valhalla proposes a date; you confirm it or ask for another.
Frequently asked
Can I approve from my phone?
Yes. The portal is built for it: the "Approve" button sits on every row in "Needs you", and in Account you can install the portal as an app.
What if I approve something by mistake?
Write to Florentin in "Discussion" on the recommendation page or through "Ask Valhalla". As long as the session has not started, he takes it out of the plan at no cost.
